Helping the Tampa Bay Community Dress For Success – #ThatBusinessShow – Featuring Jim Webb, Robert Rorebeck, Karen Pittman, Kelly Falconer-Miller, and Dr. Zora Carrier

#ThatBusinessShow is Tampa’s only terrestrial based radio programming that introduces you to the leaders in our community. Featuring business leaders, entrepreneurs, and organizational leaders, we work to bring you positive programming as an alternative to the negativity that clouds our media outlets. Airing Monday through Friday from 7am to 9am on Tampa Bay’s 1250WHNZ, we ask that you help promote the show and help it stay on the airwaves. The ways we support the show is through memberships in TBBO, our business network offering radio time, events and networking opportunites – apply for membership at and also through sponsorships. We are currently looking for a large bank and / or attorney sponsor as a cornerstone to the program. Please make connections for us to any decision makers at these businesses via email to! Great things are happening at TBBO and the radio show, more to follow!!
One of the benefits of TBBO membership is our Success Safaris. These are free member events where we tour a local business facility to hear about the Owner’s business and also hear their stories of failure / success along the way. We had the privilege of touring Rustic Steel Creations yesterday afternoon along with Firehouse #5, a renovated fire station that is now an art gallery, event space and now personal residence of Dominique Martinez, Founder of Rustic Steel Creations. Located at 3919 N Highland Ave in Tampa, Rustic Steel Creations is where metal creations come to life. You have probably seen some of them around Tampa from the fish and bull that travel from business to business to the permanent creations such as the hockey player at the Amalie Arena and the door / interior at the Ulele Restaurant. Dominique is a past guest on That Business Show and his story of walking away from corporate America on a whim and without a plan which led to Rustic Steel Creations inspired Jamie and he wanted the membership to hear his story. Today, with over 10 years in business, Rustic Steel has created countless metal works and they now have a contract with PDQ Restaurants nationwide to build metal chickens that will sit out front of all the restaurants. They offer weekend creative welding classes too and are happy to have you stop by for a tour of the facility. Find out more at and for more on the Fire Station!

In the 7am hour today, we welcomed the duo of Jim Webb and Robert Rorebeck. Jim is the founder of Webb Works and has worked with Robert who serves as the Video Production Coordinator for the past 3 years. Jim is a seasoned Tampa resident and for years worked in television as Photojournalist of Special Projects and performed videography and post-production editing for Channel 8, The Medical Beat, with Irene Maher. He was also the Primary helicopter videographer in “Eagle 8” for 20 years and worked as the consumer investigations unit shooter and editor for 5 years. Robert and Jim discovered they had several areas of interest in common, including the desire to produce legacy videos. From there, Robert began assisting Jim on various video shoots – weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, ceremonies, and presentations – serving as second camera, audio and lighting grip, and creative consultant. Lately, their focus has been on assisting local business leaders with their self-promotional ‘elevator pitch’ speeches in the comfort and controlled environment of Jim’s south West Shore studio. The elevator pitch process involves the business person writing a 60 or 90 second script on who they are, what they do, and WHY they do it. The script is then downloaded into the teleprompter, read into the camera, and usually in one or two takes, the person has a promotional piece they can put on social media immediately. Results may vary, but the overall response has been very effective in getting their message out and bringing in new business. This discussion is refreshing and reminiscent and touches on Jamie’s family history too involving the legacy of his grandfather who is still one of the last surviving inmates of Alcatraz, having served 15 years in prison for bank robbery alongside the likes of James “Whitey” Bulger and Frank Morris and the Anglin brothers who supposedly escaped from Alcatraz in 1961. Everyone has a story and Jim / Robert work to preserve that story in legacy videos. Get in touch with them today to produce yours by calling 813-817-9840 or online at!

8am started #WorkingWomenWednesday highlighting the organization that houses many of Tampa’s professional women across Tampa Bay. Get involved at!

Jessica was absent on the #MorningDiscussion but we had an excellent panel of guests to educate, inform and inspire our listeners this morning starting with Karen Pittman, VP of Business Development with Vein911 and wife of Regular Contributor Dr. Chris Pittman who is the Medical Director and CEO. Karen came on the program serving in the patient testimonial role today as she has had many of the procedures done that Dr. Pittman and Jamie have discussed many times on the program. She recently had her hand veins removed via his non-surgical procedure and showed off the result on the program and she also shares a success story of a patient who suffered from ankle swelling and could not walk in heels during events due to the swelling that would cause her feet to swell to a foot size larger. After the non-surgical procedure, she no longer complained of ankle swelling. Many will wonder how ankle swelling is related to vein disorders but it is and Jamie has had this discussion with Dr. Pittman many times. While the science of how it is related along with the relation of other leg disorders like restless legs and night cramps to vein issues is not fully understood, patients still see resolve to these issues at Vein911. Get in touch with them today for a free consultation. Visit or call them at 855-Vein-911!

Our next guest was Kelly Falconer-Miller was joined the #MorningDiscussion to talk about Dress For Success, a national organization that works to collect professional clothing for budding professional women. They are having an excess inventory sale this Friday and Saturday and women from all walks of life are welcome to come by and pick out some professional wear at bargain pricing! Normally Dress for Success Tampa Bay serves clients by referral only, and women must have an interview scheduled before receiving clothing. Their clients come to them from a continually expanding and diverse group of non-profit and government agencies including homeless shelters, immigration services, job training programs, educational institutions and domestic violence shelters, among many other organizations. More than 2,750 organizations throughout the world send women to the organization. Get involved and learn more at!
Rounding out the hour was Dr. Zora Carrier, Director of the Florida Museum of Photographic Art. Dr. Carrier is an accomplished art educator and received her Ph.D. in Education from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovak Republic in 1989. In 2002, she co-founded and was director of Gallery Art Factory in Prague, Czech Republic, a not-for-profit institution presenting modern and contemporary art. In 2006, she founded the Open Concept Gallery in Grand Rapids, Michigan, where, as director, she managed art projects and art education programming. Before becoming the Director of the Florida Museum of Photographic Arts, she consulted on educational opportunities. The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is a museum dedicated to exhibiting important photographic art as central to contemporary life and culture. FMOPA collects, preserves, and exhibits historic and contemporary works by nationally and internationally known photographic artists. FMOPA also enriches the community by operating outreach programs to educate children and adults. Their Current Exhibition is Undiscovered Self and serves as a retrospective exhibition of Uelsmann’s work spanning over the last 50 years. He remains the forerunner of photomontage in America for the 20th century as he employs multiple negatives to create intricate darkroom works of art. The process involves the combination of his ever growing negatives collection and numerous enlargers to produce the final, dream-like image. Uelsmann’s re-contextualized interpretation of landscape and reality dynamically require the viewer to critically analyze their own understanding of the surreal composition. Located at 400 N Ashley Drive next to the Sykes Building, they are open 7 days a week. Learn more at!

Opening up today’s show was the team of Klara Cadieux (Owner) and Rick Engels (President) of Cadieux Fashion.  Launched by Klara in Europe, this fashion line is expanding into the US market beginning today here in Tampa.  Klara began developing her fashion line in 2012 and she describes the product line as upscale with moderate pricing.  The same materials that are used in all the name brand designs are the same used in the Cadieux brand.  Originally from Croatia, Klara studied and practiced fashion throughout Europe including Dubai, France and Switzerland.  Her products have been worn by many celebrities and dignitaries abroad and they hope to soon see their product on the Red Carpet in Hollywood, the pinnacle of a fashion designer’s success.

She was joined in studio by Rick Engels, long-time friend and President of the Cadieux brand.  With a strong background in Software Engineering, Rick successfully ran and sold his last company after developing an app for the iPad and has now moved onto the women’s fashion industry, a transition few can claim.  He jokes that he much rather enjoys the women’s fashion industry over the software sales business and does not miss the daily grind of the software industry.   The product is just launching in the US so keep the name in mind and look for it shortly in stores and online, Cadieux Fashion!

My 2nd guest on the program was Michael McNelis, Options Strategist with key2Options.  This online platform gives traders in the options market a tool that allows them to predict the ups and downs of the stock market to make effective decisions.  The algorithm, originally created by Ashok, Yarlagadda, the CEO, is based on Finite State Modeling and Michael discusses this briefly but we do not delve too deeply into it as it is a complicated discussion.  The application  helps stock and options investors determine whether a particular stock is bullish or bearish using a numbering system which he explains as well on the segment.  We discuss some of the similar products that have been on the market in recent years as well as some of the basics of put and call options but primarily focus on the system and how it benefits investors.  They have webinars and meet up groups to assist and you can learn more about this program at or reach out to Michael directly for more information at 813-330-0900.

The Working Women of Tampa Bay Group has a mission, a mission to Motivate, Educate, and Inspire Women Entrepreneurs to become better business leaders, and to facilitate growth in our community! ” We are a savvy and supportive community of entrepreneurial women. In the 7:30 spot, I spoke with Francis Robles-Fernandez, Founder of Strong Courageous Women Magazine.  With a background in hospitality, this mother of 5 has taken the entrepreneurial dive into the magazine business with no background or experience in print or publishing.  This courageous attitude is just another reason we host these programs, we hope to inspire others to step outside their comfort zone and do what they really want to do.  She began work on this in January and will be launching in just over a month.  The magazine will cater towards Christian Women with regular pieces on areas such as beauty, career and family life as well as religion.  Her motto comes from Joshua 1:9 which inspired her to launch the magazine along with a trip to a writing conference, all of which she shares in this segment.  The magazine will focus primarily on print with some online articles and she is currently looking for advertisers and article writers so reach out to her today, or give her a call at 954-588-0937 and be sure to visit her website to subscribe today!

Show Recap – Shift in Media Focus with Award Winning Reporter Glenn Zimmerman and What’s on Tap at TAPS Restaurant Bar and Lounge

#ThatBusinessShow ends week 27 on 1250WHNZ, airing daily at 8am.  The show has been an incredible network builder for myself and show participants and is always looking for new guests and partners.  Email for ways to get involved in the show, whether as a one time guest, or regular contributor and advertiser on the program!  All shows are streamed live online and can be viewed at and On Demand via my YouTube channel found here –

My opening guest on the program was Glenn Zimmerman, CEO and President of Mad Bear Productions where he harnesses the power of story to help business, non-profits and events engage with their target audience through video marketing.  Glenn shifted directions in life after an award winning career as an award winning journalist with the #1 station in Detroit (WXYZ-TV) and with NBC’s flagship station in New York (WNBC-TV).

Glenn and I share a great discussion on the shift in media focus which was one of his drivers in leaving the profession to focus on his venture at Mad Bear Productions.  He, as do I, feels the media has focused away from information dissemination to a focus on ratings grabbing stories and partisan rhetoric.  While he’s quick to point out that many members of the media do amazing work, he was left feeling that the industry’s focus as a whole was not where he felt it should be and elaborates on that in this opening. segment.  The lovely Stella Giudicelli joins in on the discussion on the 2nd segment  and discusses how she has given up TV as of 3 years ago and the shift it has made in her mental focus and career is very positive. She also describes the differences she sees in European based news programming versus the news in the United States.  This is a great discussion and catch it On Demand on my YouTube Channel or, just click on Show Info for the replay, August 7th is the air date.  To learn more about Glenn, check out his website at and email him at or phone at 888-741-7730 for more information!

My 2nd guest on the program was James DeVito, Owner of TAPS Restaurant Bar and Lounge.  James ventured into the restaurant business after 7 successful years on Wall Street and talks about this transition and how he started at the bottom and worked his way up to now owning 4 locations under the TAPS brand.  He worked initially as a server and bartender to learn the restaurant business and worked his way up to a General Manager before entering culinary school to perfect his cooking skills.  3 years later, he opened his restaurant in downtown Tampa and 7 years later has 4 other locations.  The downtown location is located in the SkyPoint Building at 777 N Ashley Drive and many people have probably been inside and didn’t even realize it given its great location downtown with easy access to the Straz Center and many buildings Downtown.  Other locations are in International Plaza Mall in the Food Court, Winter Park Village outside of Orlando at 480 N Orlando Ave and Naples at 9108 Strada Place.  James highly recommends the meatballs as his favorite dish in his restaurant but they have a variety of offerings including beer, wine and liquor and they are open to hosting events, just contact James for more information. Learn more at and James can be reached at 813-876-5100 or email at!

Show Recap – American Idol Turned Interior Designer and Easy Video Solutions with Rapport 24/7

#ThatBusinessShow kicks off week 26 today and airs weekdays at 8am on 1250WHNZ and is available live on  All past shows available On Demand as well on the site and also videos are published to my YouTube channel located here – The show is always looking for guest and sponsors, contact Jamie at for more information!

My opening guest today was Jay Rosenberg, Owner and Founder of Designs by Jay Rosenberg.  Jay’s company specializes in interior design, staging, as well as remodeling and he found his passion for interior design at a young age through trips to homes with his mother.  His talents for design shown through at the empty and lacking homes and quickly people were asking him for assistance in design and paying for his services.  Today, he works with a number of home builders on staging homes as well as Real Estate investors looking to flip their purchases.  Jay is also very involved in the community and talks about his involvement with the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, Hands Across the Bay as well as Dean Headstrom’s Foundation for Melanoma Awareness on this opening segment.

Jay was also a Season 4 American Idol finalist and tells the story of his pathway to Hollywood on the show.  He was not familiar with the show prior to attending an audition and went to the audition to support a friend and had not intended on auditioning.  After hearing the people in line practicing their crafts, Jay knew he had a much better chance at advancing than what he was hearing and made it all the way to the Top 32, his friend he was supporting did not make it through the first audition ironically.  Jay is a frequent singer at sporting events, belting out the National Anthem for the Rays and other events in the area and even gives us a quick taste of his singing talent at the close of the 2nd segment.  Jay is available for singing engagements as well as Design projects via phone at 727-409-6920 or email at  Be sure to visit and like his Facebook page as well located at

On the 2nd half of the show, I welcomed to studio, Steve and Suzie Santorsola, Founders of Rapport 24/7.  This is a Tampa based tech company that specializes in business to business software development with a focus on video.  They were joined in studio by Eric Lamar Smith, a Preferred Provider of theirs and Owner of My Hangout Academy, where he uses Google Hangouts to enhance business owners through the use of Google Hangouts and video and Matt Nelson, an Advertising specialist.  Steve opens the segment with a discussion of their video application that allows for ease of use, on-location video taking through the use of a smart phone or tablet device.  Through their subscription based platform, users can then easily transfer this video to their platform where it can then be disseminated to their social media platforms, resulting in consistent, fresh video information, of which the search engines love.  Users can use the software for video testimonials in the field for instance and this also gives them the ability to capture positive video reviews by handling them on the spot, rather than asking for people to give them at their leisure.

Eric along with Steve and Suzie will be holding a training on this platform as well as much more about Google Hangouts and how they can amplify your business on August 4th from 9am to 4pm and is located at Studio4K at 12501 62nd St N in Largo, FL – learn more and reserve a seat at  Also, learn more about Rapport 24/7 at and reach out to Steve or Suzie at 813-760-2200 or 813-503-0595 for more information.  They are also available via email at or!
