He returned home and made the transition into entrepreneurship focusing on the skills he learned while in the military on leading others. Jamie and Joe discuss this transition at the onset of the segment and Joe admits it was not an easy transition and one in which many Veterans struggle with, but his key was finding his passion he said and from there it became doable in his mind. “Find your passion” and it all flows from there. The company was founded in 2009 and has 3 locations. The primary location is at 423 Lafayette Blvd in Oldsmar and includes a zip line canopy tour. At 7:30, we welcomed Expert Contributors Kelly Hamm and Nick Paras to the program for a co-branded segment. Kelly is the Founder of Billmeyer Hamm Consulting, focusing on workforce culture, HR, succession planning and more related to overall design and organization of the business. Nick is the CEO of Alpha Computing Solutions, bringing over 20 years of experience in IT solutions to the marketplace. Together, their synergy results in a greater value to the business professional and they have come together to benefit Bay area business owners. Combined, you have an IT and HR department duo that can add to your bottom line without the expense of employing the actual department. They are hosting a free workshop on July 13th at the Centre Club from 8:30 to 10:30 entitled, “5 Steps To Ignite Your Workforce Culture Proven To Increase Your Bottom Line” Again, registration is free and you register at and we have a link on the home page of TampaBayRadio.Com as well to the event. Kelly and Jamie discussed today about having the right organizational design. Do you have a leadership team in place and in sync? Do you have your business goals defined? Is leadership casting the right shadow? These are just some of the questions that leaders need to ask themselves to enhance their workforce culture and improve bottom line profits. A recent study shows that in a typical business, 71% of all employees are not fully engaged in their work and the mission of the organization. This is where Kelly comes in. By working with management and staff, she advised on how to improve the overall culture to get people engaged. Through the show and TBBO, she found Nick Paras. They discovered a lot of synergy exists in their businesses. Nick looks at the IT side of the business starting with an initial consultation with management and then through a software that identifies key areas of weakness in the organization’s IT. A discussion then follows on how to improve the traditional infrastructure i.e. cables, modem etc. and then a deeper discussion on the alternative infrastructure (people). This is where the synergy exists with Nick and Kelly and how you the business owner can benefit from a working relationship with Billmeyer Hamm Consulting and Alpha Computing Solutions. Learn more at their event noted prior or find them online at or!

Closing out the show today was the duo of David Kahn and Jackie Brown. David is the Owner of Bespoke & Co. and Jackie is his Custom Clothier. Working in the apparel business since 1978, David fell in love with luxury clothing as a result of the 70’s preppy era as he admired fashion icons Ralph Lauren and Luciano Barbera. Currently, David dresses some of Tampa’s most successful executives, prominent local attorneys and professional athletes, coaches and administrators from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the Tampa Bay Rays. His client list is comprised of the who’s who of the entire Tampa Bay area and extends throughout Florida and beyond to cities such as New York, Chicago, Dallas and Atlanta. Being from a family of entrepreneurs, Jackie was compelled to start her own business when she moved to an area without a fashion design industry.  Utilizing her color coordination skills, fabric knowledge, sewing abilities, and proportion standards, Jackie began Interiors by Jackie Brown to help homeowners update their spaces so they feel at home.  Her full-service approach brought quick success to the business and a two-time inclusion in a Designer Showcase. Expanding her fashion roots, Jackie joined the Bespoke & Co. team to assist in developing their custom design offerings for men, and especially women.  Filling the ward robing needs of today’s professionals is Jackie’s foremost expertise. David and Jamie discuss the basics of custom designed clothing and David works to dispel some of the myths associated with costs as compared to traditional retail outlets. Whether you need them to come to you or in their store, they can design clothing to fit your needs and comfort while keeping you looking sharp at the same time. Opening up the program today was Asif Hakeem, CEO of Hakeem Investments Florida. Hakeem Investments Florida is a Tampa Bay Investment company facilitating commercial and residential needs in Hillsborough County. The company was originally founded in 1967 by Asif’s father and cardio thoracic surgeon, Dr. M. K. Hakeem. Hakeem was brought into the family business at an early age and now with nearly 50 years in the Real Estate business, their company is well versed in Tampa Bay commercial, multi-family, and land based investments. Hakeem and Jamie speak of areas of opportunities in Tampa Bay of which Hakeem sees many. With the possibility of the Tampa Bay Rays coming to Tampa, Hakeem thinks the Fairgrounds area is prime for the location and for development. This area also benefits from the Hard Rock Casino which is continually expanding and adding jobs in the area. Other areas of opportunity discussed include Seminole / Tampa Heights, Downtown Tampa, and southern Pasco County. Hakeem also sees opportunity in Plant City and notes that per his insurance friend, “Plant City is coming to Tampa,” a marketing pitch they are using to drive new business into the area. Tampa is a hidden gem and is a small big City with lots of growth potential. Real estate investments are a key to your wealth and retirement and those that learn the game are always well rewarded. Today Hakeem Investments Florida is a major land owner in the area thanks to the vision their Founder had in the 60s. Don’t sit around thinking about how to get rich, get out and act on it before time runs out! Check out their portfolio at, they have some great opportunities available in the commercial leasing space now!

My next guest on the program was our newest Expert Contributor, Kristi Campbell, Owner of Home Instead Senior Care. Kristi has over 13 years of experience in all phases of Senior Care and her services range from in home care and independent living facilities to assisted living facilities and nursing living facilities. She has built an incredible brand and reputation and has a staff of over 100 working under her guidance. She and Home Instead Senior Care pride themselves on creating above board industry standards inside an industry plagued by sub-par and sometimes dangerous care by service providers. Today Kristi and Jamie spoke of how to approach your loved ones when it is time to either restrict or end their driving due to age and health. Driving represents one’s independence on so many levels and when the time comes to restrict or end that privilege, it leads to a range of emotions from confusion to anger. Loved ones need to understand how to approach this conversation properly and Kristi shares some tips with us on this segment of what to look for to trigger you to have this conversation and what and how to have the conversation. Jamie shares some stories of his driving path including his start behind the wheel of a riding lawn mower at age 5. Also, Kristi and Home Instead Senior Care offers this discussion as just another benefit of their in home care services, so if you are not comfortable discussing driving restrictions with your loved ones, then let the staff at Home Instead Senior Care handle it. If you are in need of guidance for a loved one, contact Kristi today at 813-684-1972 or visit them online at

#WorkingWomenWednesday kicked off at 8am on #ThatBusinessShow with Jessica Rivelli, Founder of the Organization, on the phone line. My next guest on the program was Barbara Forgione, Owner of the Barbara Forgione Salon where she and her staff specialize in hair coming for both men and women. Sporting blue highlights which is her new pink she says, their services include full salon services and was voted as a “best kept secret” by the Tampa Bay community in past years and she was featured on MTV’s “Made” and also was hired by Paris Hilton to do her hair a few years ago when she was in town. Barbara’s hair color device: Colour Bunz® is US patented and is a washable, reusable highlighting tool used by salons that are environmentally concerned, and by ‘at home’ colorists who want to create professional looking highlights and color trends. Barbara and Jamie discuss industry trends and she shares with us the history of hair and fun facts as well on this segment. Find her online at and she is located at 4317 W El Prado Blvd in Tampa. Phone is 813-832-1115.

Closing out the hour was Mariely Reynoso Castillo, Creator of the Black Eye Tattoo Balm, which results in better looking tattoos, reduced swelling and redness and will help tattoos heal faster with overall better results. Black Eye avoids artificial preservatives believing that nature provides some of the best healing solutions. Additionally, Black Eye avoids the typical (and cheap) petroleum additives that over the year’s tattooists have found to dull the look of today’s modern tattoos. Preservatives and petroleum products are not helpful or healing components; they are simple and cheap materials added for the benefit of the seller of the product, not YOU the consumer. The product has additional uses too including skin moisturizing, treatment of hemorrhoids, and more of which we discuss in the final segment. The balm is in its early development phase so they are looking for partners, retailers and investors to get involved to discuss. Learn more about this at!

Starting off hosting efficacious house parties that received buzz on school campuses from near and far, she made a name for herself in her youthful days. The device helps retrain the muscles to work properly and alleviates many of the problems associated with this condition. She discusses how many insurance companies do not cover the cost of this device which is around $5000 and her and the organization’s mission is also to get insurance companies to recognize this as a legitimate medical need and cost and thus cover it. Today at 7am, we were joined by Expert Contributor Dr. Chris Pittman, Medical Director and CEO of Vein911. Dr. Pittman is triple board certified and one of only a few hundred physicians Board-Certified in Venous and Lymphatic Medicine.  Known for their minimally invasive non-surgical technique for the treatment of varicose veins, Dr. Pittman and Vein 911 is revolutionizing vein care.  Their mission is to help you look and feel your best and they have offices in Tampa and St. Petersburg and can easily be reached by calling 855-VEIN-911. Dr. Pittman is a trained radiologist and spoke in the opening segment about varicose veins and their pain free outpatient procedure for their treatment.  Many doctors practicing vein treatment still utilize a surgical procedure for this treatment and Dr. Pittman is adamant that is no longer necessary.  His techniques using Ultrasound-Guided Sclerotherapy can have your legs looking as good as new in just a few procedures and without the pain of other procedures.  He routinely sees patients treated by other procedures and has near 100% patient satisfaction in this group.  Dr. Pittman also elaborates on some of the other conditions of the legs that may be related to undiagnosed vein disorders such as restless leg syndrome and night cramps as well as ankle swelling.  Using the same technique to treat varicose veins, many patients report significant improvement in these conditions when treated by Dr. Pittman.  If you are experiencing these issues and have not had success with traditional techniques, get in touch with Vein911 today by calling 855-VEIN-911 (855-834-6911).   We spent the entire first hour with the Doctor and we touched on many other topics such as some of the secrets of the Vein Care industry that Doctors would not want you to know. Dr. Pittman has over 25 years local, state, and national medical political leadership experience: President, Florida Medical Association Political Action Committee (FMA PAC); Member, FMA Board of Governors; Past Chair, FMA Advisory Committee on Health Care Information Technology (HIT) and current FMA subject matter expert on HIT; Past Vice-Chair and current member, FMA Council on Medical Economics and Health Care Delivery Innovation.  He is a sought after speaker in his field in addition to the patients that seek out his care.  Learn more at or give them a call 855-VEIN-911.

Through National Business Capital, Joseph works with business owners on alternative sources of capital but can help with traditional sources such as SBA loans as well. Joseph points out the market is difficult now for small business owners but is loosening. Jamie is a foreclosure sales specialist and has relationships with over 45 different bank and asset management company clients.  He can help you with your home sale too and offers a free home valuation at – the market in Tampa Bay is a strong seller’s market so now is the best time to sale, more inventory is expected to come on market in the coming years which will depress home values.  Jamie was named once again to the Wall Street Journal Real Trends List of Top Brokers in the Country.  Ranking at #37, this is the 4th straight year that Jamie has reached this tremendous accomplishment.  His ad, along with the others within Coldwell Banker that also achieved this, can be seen in today’s Wall Street Journal (6-24-2016)

Opening up the program today was Sharon Fekete, The Doctor Whisperer.  Recently featured in “Physicians Money Digest”, Sharon works with doctors’ offices on back end components such as marketing, hiring, public relations and more, allowing the doctor to be a doctor.  She talks much about the importance of having the right person or people in customer service (front desk) and how a “Miserable Mary” can negatively impact your operation.  Jamie notes the value in having a strong front desk person and how some times the positive front person can offset a less than likeable Doctor but in reverse, a delightful Doctor could lose tremendous business if patients do not like the person or people at the front of the house.  Sharon has recently launched her online course called “Front Office Ambassador” that works with medical professionals on this topic.  The course can be found here and is only $99.  Sharon can be reached at 727-420-2481 and learn more!

Sharon and Jamie were then joined in studio by Chris Cousineau, Manager of the Foggiare Institute.  Located at 1920 W Bay Drive in Largo, Foggiare focuses on non-invasive procedures to improve the overall health and wellness of the body.  Utilizing unique treatment methods, Foggiare is able to get people results they are failing to achieve in other wellness centers.  We discussed the Cryotherapy which is a pod that a person sits inside for up to 3 minutes with temperatures reaching over 200 degrees below zero.  The body has a physical response to this extreme environment that results in quicker recoveries from intensive workouts and also works to reduce and eliminate pain.  Many people are discovering this technique and attracts many athletes, both amateur and professional as well as many who just look to reduce pain or feel better overall.  They utilize many other treatments including vibration, steam, heat and electricity and all clients go through an intake process that measures ones impedance which is then linked to the different treatment methods resulting in customized workouts.  Check them out online, they offer many other procedures too to help you feel better, lose weight, and look better. or give them a call today at 727-239-0580!

At 8am, we welcomed Dennise Ondina, Executive Director of the Compass Brain Injury Center.  She was joined in studio by her son Ian as well who was the inspiration of this non-profit after suffering a traumatic brain injury while riding an ATV at age 19.  After months of treatments and surgeries, in which he was not expected to survive at one point), Ian pulled through but had to re-learn many things including who his family was and how to do many basic things.  Disappointed by the lack of support after leaving the care units, Dennise saw the need for a support group for those impacted by traumatic brain injuries and launched Compass Brain Injury Center.  Dennise is in the start-up phase of the organization and is looking for help and guidance from others.  They are currently holding support group meetings for victims and caregivers and their first board of directors meeting is in September.  If you have any way to help, please reach out to Dennise, phone is 727-204-2723 and website is  Today Ian has recovered much of what he lost but still struggles and needs assistance. He speaks briefly on the program to share personally his challenges and lets us know that he recently returned to College and has achieved a straight A report card.  Your support will help him and many others in the same situation.

Closing out the week and program was Dr. Glynn Wilson, CEO of TapImmune, an Immuno-oncology Company developing T-cell vaccines for the treatment of breast and ovarian cancer.  The vaccine works by stimulating the body’s own immune system is now the most promising approach for treating cancer.  TapImmune now has the worldwide exclusive license on two vaccine technologies from the Mayo Clinic: A folate receptor alpha vaccine (TPIV 200) and a HER2neu vaccine (TPIV 110) and both technologies were discovered by Dr Keith Knutson of the Mayo Clinic.  Both vaccines have completed Phase I clinical trials and were shown to be safe and well tolerated and to produce robust immune responses in over 90% of patients treated.  The Company has received Orphan Drug designation and Fast Track status from the FDA for ovarian cancer and their HER2neu vaccine will enter Phase II clinical trials early in 2017.  Dr. Wilson has been personally affected by these cancers having lost his wife to the disease.  We share a great discussion on this segment about TapImmune and cancer in general and more can learned at and you can follow the results of the clinical trials at!

We share an excellent discussion on some of the forgotten talking points when it comes to app design like patents. We learn that in many situations, apps are not patentable unless they contain hardware or software that is a trade secret. He advises to still file and having a “patent pending” tag to your app if oftentimes good enough to ward off potential duplicators of your idea. We also touch on iOS vs Android operating systems for apps and we learn some of the nuances of each of the operating systems in this segment. The field is wide open for app development ideas – from entertainment to business, apps are a great way to drive new business to yourself so reach out to Brian Kornfeld today at 727-415-6705 or visit them online at!

Some days and times of the week, you will have customers wrapped around the building waiting on the doughnuts they said.
